Jeff caught her wrist mid-swing.This time he didn’t let go.His other hand shot upward and tangled hard into her hair.The sudden pain ripped a sharp breath from her lungs as he yanked her backward with brutal force.Her body collided against his chest.Before she could react, his grip twisted her arm downward, forcing the knife loose from her fingers.His arm locked around her from behind, fingers still tangled in her hair as he pulled her head back sharply.Cold steel pressed against the side of her throat.Jeff leaned closer,his voice dropping low near her ear.
