Summary
Sehyoon can’t be friends with Byeongkwan. Ever. Because he’s got this stupid, stupid crush on him, and if they become friends, he’s going to do what he does best and mess everything up. That’s why he decides to avoid him for the four years they’re stuck together. And the results of his decision are going pretty well, actually, until fate screws him over.
(Alternatively: Byeongkwan Kim is handsy and pretty and Extra and Sehyoon has to learn how to deal with that.) -

“Goodbyes are so awkward,” Byeongkwan sighs, doing his best to keep himself upright. “Like, do I go in for a kiss or a hug or what?”
The delivery guy gives him a strained, tight-lipped smile. “Sir, please take your food.”
(A wildly incorrect assumption leads to a quiet study session turning into an impromptu house party. Junhee’s priceless family heirlooms are promptly thrown out the window, as are Byeongkwan’s dreams of meeting his soulmate while sober.)

“dude, how am i supposed to help you find whatever if you won’t tell me what i’m looking for?”
“it’s, uh,” byeongkwan starts, clamping his jaw shut and cutting himself off with another head shake. if possible, his face gets even redder. sehyoon’s concern grows, his frustration disappearing in a wisp of smoke. it’s got to be bad if byeongkwan’s hesitant to even say it out loud. it could be something that affects the whole group.
maybe he lost a demo song? their schedule for the next three weeks? that one pre-debut group shower selca everyone swore they deleted where three out of five members’ dicks are definitely visible?
a shiver tumbles down sehyoon’s spine at the thought.

“Relationships are so stupid.” Byeongkwan groans, taking Sehyoon’s hand into his own and pulling his arm tighter around himself. “Grownups, too.”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll never like anyone like that.” His eyelids feel heavy, seemingly shutting on their own accord as he continues groggily. “It’ll be just us two, right, Sehni?”
And Sehyoon, being almost two years older and all, is already sort of past the whole “relationships are stupid” phase. Still, he means it when he hums affirmatively to the other’s question.
A small collection of moments in which Byeongkwan gets his knees scraped, or his heart broken. Or both.Sehyoon — his best friend with whom he's hopelessly in love — is there to tend to his wounds every single time.
