“it’s, uh,” byeongkwan starts, clamping his jaw shut and cutting himself off with another head shake. if possible, his face gets even redder. sehyoon’s concern grows, his frustration disappearing in a wisp of smoke. it’s got to be bad if byeongkwan’s hesitant to even say it out loud. it could be something that affects the whole group.
maybe he lost a demo song? their schedule for the next three weeks? that one pre-debut group shower selca everyone swore they deleted where three out of five members’ dicks are definitely visible?
a shiver tumbles down sehyoon’s spine at the thought.

Summary
“Relationships are so stupid.” Byeongkwan groans, taking Sehyoon’s hand into his own and pulling his arm tighter around himself. “Grownups, too.”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll never like anyone like that.” His eyelids feel heavy, seemingly shutting on their own accord as he continues groggily. “It’ll be just us two, right, Sehni?”
And Sehyoon, being almost two years older and all, is already sort of past the whole “relationships are stupid” phase. Still, he means it when he hums affirmatively to the other’s question.

Summary
A snapshot from one of Byeongkwan's many, many jobs as a mercenary.
Waiting is always the hardest part.
He’ll be here soon, hopefully. He’s not late quite yet, but Byeongkwan’s antsy regardless, already having to push down the first few “what ifs” crawling their way to the forefront of his mind.
They’ve done this a million times and nothing too bad has happened yet- personally, Byeongkwan thinks the six-month-old scar arcing through his left eyebrow is rather fetching.

Sehyoon doesn’t say anything, he just smiles back, the skin of his lips smooth and candy pink as it stretches, as if it doesn’t hurt him to smile at all. Byeongkwan doesn’t understand how he can be this soft, he kinda wants to bite him roughly, ruin him a little bit. He blames it on the exhaustion.

Except that whoever bought the long-empty building to settle their business into neglected to take into account that there is already a bakery on this exact street. Now there’s this dumb, flashy, neon yellow banner announcing a grand opening right in his eyeline.
A grand opening that, by chance, happens to be today.
