Robin’s heart caught in her throat. Fight or flight response kicked in as she took a breath to steel her nerves - but she couldn’t concede to Nancy Wheeler. She was cut from better cloth than that. “I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?”
Nancy gave her a devilish stare and took a deliberate, slow lick of her strawberry ice cream cone, not breaking eye contact with Robin the entire time, then said “At least one.”
