Working for the cold agency head Guest 1337, Chance must get close to Mafioso, a hyper-vigilant mob boss who hides a lethal mind behind a bubbly, cheerful persona. Forced into a tight psychological game, Chance matches the kingpin’s playful flirting with unbothered arrogance. Yet, beneath his calm mask, unexpected physical proximity sparks confusing, unprecedented warmth within his cold heart. Cut off from help, Chance must survive a fuming inner circle while battling his own conflicting emotions in this deadly game of attraction.

Summary
Chance operates as a lethal, highly defensive assassin for an underground syndicate known as Spectre. Widely feared as the best on the team, they are assigned a new contract—an information heist that seems effortless. But the illusion of an easy job shatters the moment Chance meets the mark. The target is Mafioso, a terrifyingly dangerous yet deceptively bubbly and cheerful crime boss. Suddenly caught in a paralyzing storm of conflicted emotions and hot-headed panic, Chance hesitates for the first time in their life. Meanwhile, Mafioso finds himself utterly consumed by a dangerous fascination with the very phantom sent to infiltrate his empire.

-Burn me out
~<>———————————————- ———————————<>~
You're just the thing I hate.
Yet you stupidly keep clinging.
Like even after the first time you're stung, you keep reaching for me.
I don't even know what to do.
Despite it's ruthless nature; the moth still follows the hornet. Despite all the warnings.
Like an absolute idiot.
I knew it the day I learned about the bounty sitting on your head.
That you'd be trouble. I just didn't know what thrill I was chasing.
