Treat Me Like an Infection (2P Doublefedora AU)

Summary:

-Burn me out

~<>———————————————- ———————————<>~

You're just the thing I hate.

Yet you stupidly keep clinging.

Like even after the first time you're stung, you keep reaching for me.

I don't even know what to do.

Despite it's ruthless nature; the moth still follows the hornet. Despite all the warnings.

Like an absolute idiot.

I knew it the day I learned about the bounty sitting on your head.

That you'd be trouble. I just didn't know what thrill I was chasing.

~<>———————————————- ———————————<>~

(2P double fedora hitman au with an interesting spin on the plot.)

I do not know how mafia's or hitman or any of that works. I'm just trying my best ;,).

Sorry for any grammar mistakes!!

Will try to update every Friday/Wednesday.

~<>———————————————- ———————————<>~

Chance lifted a hand up to his headphones, adjusting the volume.

Focus.

He had to focus.

His hands tightened around the sniper. A red target lined up against a well-known admins head.

StickMasterLuke.

This was a paid job, it had to be done.

Of course, Chance never liked doing things the proper way.

Snipers were boring, just a quick line up and shot. Not satisfying enough.

As much as he liked to have a good time on the job, he knew how important a hit like this was.

About ten million studs were on the line.

Not a small number to negotiate with.

He adjusted his sight, narrowing his eyes behind his shades. The number seven imprinted on the white shades.

If he had to sacrifice the adrenaline rush, he would.

So long as that check comes in.

His white suit scuffed against the smooth black platform.

Today would be his only chance. An esteemed event, the only time that most admins and moderators would be in the same place all at once. Being hosted at Roblox HQ itself.

Chance found himself atop one of the Roblox HQ’s buildings.

Thankfully, the security hadn’t been too tight tonight.

His hand tightened around the trigger, his sharp smile dimming into a thin pressed line of concentration.

StickMasterLuke had stood off to the side. Letting more important administrators take the mic. Builderman’s words blurred as Chance set his sights on StickmasterLuke.

He’d pocket the Dominus hood after. If he had the chance, of course.

Thousands of Robloxians stood in front of HQ, fencing separating the admins from the crowd.

Builderman was speaking.

Something regarding future choices being made by Roblox.

Chance could care less.

His shot was lined up, but he’d have to wait til the exact right second.

Chance clicked his tongue, pulling the trigger.

He squinted, noting the quick shot going straight through the admins head. His body quickly falling limp on stage. StickMasterLuke’s wings fell down along with his body.

Within seconds, everything grew into discordant panic.

Chance never meant to make things chaotic. But he just happened to create chaos wherever he’d go. Screams of the crowd grew louder than the music from his headphones.

Now this was getting interesting…

Chance grinned ear to ear, making the volume on his headphones go to max.

He carelessly threw the sniper rifle, discarding it like an empty candy wrapper.

Without much hesitation, he stepped down the stairs, climbing down whatever ladders led down. Every movement being done with immeasurable speed. His pace quickening as the crowd dispersed further.

The confusion and concern of the other admins pretty visible as they tried to remain calm.

The goal was always to keep everything under control.

Chance made it to the bottom, surveying the crazed state of the crowd. Fear apparent in almost every Robloxians face.

Chance let out a low whistle.

The crowd would only grow more crazy with every minute spent in quiet process.

Chance swept past the audience, falling closer to the bundle of people. Of course, not fully entering the crowd. With the insane amount of panic, he’d most likely get trampled. Cries of disbelief would interfere with his much from time to time.

As much as he’d like to watch the chaos unfold, he had to make sure StickMasterLuke would stay dead.

Law enforcement would enter soon, he only had seconds before the storm would begin to worsen.

It was a clear shot through his head. No way he’d survive that.

All he needed was a distraction, something to get the other administrators to divert their attention.

He unhooked his flintlock from the band on his suit with a theatrical spin, shoving a ton of gunpowder into the ammunition. It was 50/50. He’d ether end up with a scarred hand, or the gun would go off seamlessly.

A thrilling gamble.

Chance aimed the gun straight forward, pulling the trigger on a whim.

Purposely aiming just out of reach of the admins. Close enough to alert.

Two shots blasting into the promotional posters around the area.

The sounds causing a pop in the nearby Robloxian’s ears.

Chance quickly hid against the set, avoiding any clear vision of himself.

That should be enough.

He slinged his gun back onto his suit.

He considered stealing the Dominus, it was expensive after all.

Police sirens began to sound, on top of the yelling from the crowd.

No good.

He’d have to leave it.

He started to make his way out, running from the chaos left behind. He uniformly slipped his headphones off, letting them sit around his neck.

Chance clicked on an earpiece under his headphones.

“Jobs done.” He reported.

“It’s done?” A gruff voice answered.

Guest 1337, the former soldier.

He and Chance had been working together for years. Of course, Chance’s crazy energy was a little contrasting with Guest’s more uniformal approach. He worked in the military after all, he was used to doing things the proper way.

“Meet me around the corner.” Guest said monotone.

“Roger that!”

Chance clicked his earpiece off, bouncing across the streets and roads.

Another job well done.

Chance wondered if Guest 1337 ever dreaded being his assistant.

Chance sprinted across the street, rounding the corner at a streetlight. He was met with a sleek black car. Something that looked expensive, but not too flashy to catch attention.

Guest 1337 rolled down the window.

“Get in.” He motioned to the back seat.

Without hesitation, Chance jumped into the back seat.

…

Chance kicked his legs up on the car seats. Practically laying in the back of the car. His arms sat behind his head, supporting it.

“Will you turn off that loud music?”

Chance could just barely make out from the noise blasting through his ears.

“Don’t like it?”

Chance smirked with sharp teeth.

Guest 1337 muttered something he couldn’t hear. The only indication of him speaking being him mouthing out of words.

He sighed, pausing his music on his phone.

“You better have something important to say.” Chance hissed, throwing his head back.

“Get your dirty shoes off my car.”

Guest flicked his eyes towards Chance through the rearview mirror.

“I do this all the time. You should be used to it by now.” Chance grinned.

Guest 1337 let out a breathy exhale.

“You didn’t have to cause that much of a ruckus out there y’know.” Guest scolded.

“You couldn’t have killed him in a more secluded location?”

“A complainer now, aren’t we?” Chance leaned back against the cushion.

“This could’ve stayed under wraps for a few days.”

“What happened to no witnesses?”

“Naah, all that matters is that the job is done. It’s not like anyone saw me take the shot.”

“Chance. A whole crowd saw the bullet go through his head.”

Guest 1337’s face hardened.

“Ehh I’m just entertaining the crowd. They seemed enthused.”

“Not everyone thinks as twisted as you.”

“Oh! Are you just here to be a negative nancy?” Chance rolled his eyes under his white shades.

“I’m your assistant.”

Chance pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Say one more word and I’ll assassinate you next.” Chance growled.

“That’d be counter intuitive.”

“Oh-hoh! You should be so glad you do your job competently.” Chance grimly chuckled.

“Try to keep things more organized next time?” Guest 1337 suggested.

“If I’m feeling like it.”

…

The car halted at a luxurious apartment complex.

Tall enough to overshadow some of the other buildings in the area. Chance had lived in the city for a while. Having bounced from different apartment buildings, his job required him to lay low after all.

Guest 1337 stepped out of the car, watching Chance fidget with his suit.

“Damn suit.. always getting roughed up…”

Guest 1337 stood still.

“You’re coming?” Chance looked up, slightly confused.

“I left something at your place.”

Guest 1337 stopped at the entrance, impatiently tapping his foot.
The two of them stepped out of the elevator, unlocking the door to Chance’s penthouse.

Chance stepped through the large suite, kicking a stray crumpled paper under the couch.

The room was vast and open, with a large flatscreen TV sitting in the main living area. Accompanied with a decently sized kitchen and a marble island counter. As soon as he entered the penthouse, a huge glass window would be seen. Providing a magnificent view of the city.

He kicked off his shoes, leaving them against the rug.

Guest 1337 sighed, scanning Chance’s cluttered office area.

Paper’s scattered all over the floor, in reckless piles. His computer was half submerged in stacks of papers and files. Not to mention the mess that was already around the house. Socks, clothes, old food, dishes left in the sink. It wasn’t the cleanest place.

“You really need to tidy up around here…”

“Eh, I’ll get to it soon enough.”

Guest 1337 lifted a brow, knowing Chance was only making excuses.

He quickly made his way to the kitchen counter, spotting what he was here for.

A small little keychain with a daisy on it.

“Oh that? I was gonna throw it out when I saw it the other day…” Chance stretched his legs and arms.

Guest 1337 clipped the trinket back onto his car keys.

“Good that I got it then. Though knowing you, you would’ve procrastinated it anyway.”

Chance yawned, falling back onto the couch in mock exhaustion.

“Get out of my place before you scold my ears off…”

“Your ears will probably burst from that overstimulating music you play first.”

“What’d you say?”

Chance twisted his finger in his ear, trying to hear better.

“Exactly my point.”

Guest clicked the call elevator button. Waiting for it to come up.

“I’ll be on my way. Call tomorrow.”

The elevator opened with a ding.

Guest 1337 waved goodbye, already stepping through the elevator.

“Cya.” Chance flashed a smile.

…

(#)———————————————(#)

Chance stirred in his bed, hearing his phone ring.

“Ughhhh….”

Of course, the only person who’d dare disturb his sleep like this, Guest 1337.

Chance threw his face into his pillow. Dreading whatever mission Guest 1337 had conjured for him today.

Usually it’d take a week or two for him to get another job, but sometimes opportunities come faster than expected.

His phone buzzed against the wood nightstand beside his bed.

He toppled over his sheets, failing to grab his phone about two times. Multiple clothes that were left thrown throughout his room falling in the process.

Chance groaned as he managed to finally get a grasp on his phone.

He swiped up on the answer screen, the screen loading as the call was processed.

“What do you want?” Chance spoke with a rasp.

“Make it quick.” Chance snapped.

“Sir- I found our next target. There’s a bounty going around, dead or alive. There’s a number listed, we could get in contact with them, this could be our next client. We also—”

“Stop rambling, tell me the reward.” Chance cut him off.

Guest grumbled.

“The offer is one million studs.”

One million studs.. Not bad.

“I’ll send a photo over of the target. He’s an older male, blue skinned, with white hair, wears a white suit and fedora, appears to be a rabbit hybrid.”

“… Also has ties to a mafia…” Guest 1337 paused at his own sentence.

“Huh?”

“Mafia?”

Chance blinked, his interest suddenly piqued.

“On second thought, this seems like it’s not a great idea…” Guest clicked his tongue.

“No, no. That sounds fun!” Chance grinned, now thinking of how he could prance around with a gun, shooting mafia men.

“Chance— we know better than to associate with the mafia like this.”

“Guest, you worry too much.” Chance laughed.

“There’s always other jobs we could find...” Guest 1337 said low.

“Work is hard to come by!” Chance shrugged his shoulders.

“Besides, we’ve already dug ourselves a grave by murdering an important admin like that. What’s the difference? Shady activity like that happens all the time when you work in an environment like this…”

“It’s dangerous.” Guest 1337 replied.

“You’re the one that suggested it!” Chance kicked his legs up as he spoke.

“Never mind. I wasn’t aware that it was dangerous like that.” Guest 1337 tried to reason.

“When is our job not dangerous?”

“It’s not worth the money.” Guest retorted.

“I like a challenge every now and then.”

“No.”

“Chance- no.”

“I can hear you getting ready— go back to sleep.”

“Last I remembered, I’m the boss here.” Chance slipped his shoes back on, shuffling out of bed.

“Telamon…”

“Organize a meeting with them.”

Chance confidently grinned.

“If you’re so sure…”

Chance lept out of his bed, placing his phone down on the counter.

Quickly changing into his usual suit and tie. Placing his fedora straight on his head with his headphones under.

His suit and tie was a clean ivory white, complete with a blue buckle and trim around his pockets. A black dress shirt fit underneath his white suit blazer. His fedora matched his white suit in color, with a black band around the middle. Some sharp blades could be seen attached to a white button with a blue diamond. Acting as accessories for the hat.

Some old bandages were wrapped around his right arm, he never truly got to unwrapping them, but kept on saying he would.

His fingers traced under his eye, feeling a small black diamond tattoo he had on his right cheek.

Chance placed his white and grey flintlock into the holster on his suit.

He sighed, placing his hand around the doorknob, twisting it around.

He could finally start his day.

(#)———————————————(#)

Chance sat in Jane doe’s office.

She was clearly someone not to be messed with. Being part of a crime syndicate herself, not just part of one. She owned one.

This was something personal between the two mafia’s.

“I want him dead!” She banged on her desk in fury.

Chance leaned back in his chair, one shoulder slung over the frame of the chair.

A few of her workers sat neatly lined up against the wall, guarding the door. Each of them with perfect posture.

One of them being black haired with white skin, they looked frail, also somewhat insane. Their suit were tattered, as if they had cut it itself. The sleeves of the suit were fully trimmed off, and the bottom of the suit was cut into a V shape. An oddly placed black hat landing somewhat on their head with various trinkets hanging off of it. The hat also appeared to have been written on with a purple color. A low black and white boney tail swaying behind them.

They were standing barefoot, only wearing bandages around their ankles and some socks with holes cut out for grip.

Whatever they were attempting to wear, looked stupid.

That’s all he thought.

Another man had his hair tied into a short thin braid. His hair being a light yellow blonde, with his skin being a yellow. He had emerald green eyes. Almost too contrasting against his skin. His suit was a regular dark color with buttons on it. A matching visor on his head with a singular button on the side.

A tall cloaked figure stood next to them with golden trim around the edges of his shirt. Long loose spread out sleeves. With A bandanna tied around their face. The bandanna held a small little squiggle design on it. He was wearing somewhat loose pants with the same gold trim around the ankles.

Some pockets were held around his belt, a small pink crystal design being on the belt.

Standing absolutely still.

The last of the four being a robotic woman. A red robot TV head? Her TV screen was pink, showing an awfully serious expression. With her body being built pretty slim. Circular joints connecting her legs and arms.

“Listen, I don’t care how you do it.”

Jane wore a long black coat with an orange turtleneck undershirt . A small black bag slung over her shoulder. Complete with a wide black sun hat. Her hair being a light magenta and held into a ponytail.

“Take all risks necessary, as long as he doesn’t live to see the light of day.”

Jane grabbed a stack of papers, straightening them.

“Are you willing to negotiate the prize?” Guest 1337 leaned against the desk.

Not intimidated in the slightest by the workers sending glares towards them.

“Working against the mafia.. it’s pretty difficult you know.” Guest 1337 tapped his fingers idly.

“I’m aware.”

Jane took a small breath, looking off in consideration.

“One point five?”

“Oh, I think we can do more than that!” Chance enthusiastically grinned.

“…”

Jane grumbled under her breath.

“Two million.”

“That’s the most I’m willing.”

“Only if you return him dead, I’d rather not deal with any possibility of him getting away.”

Guest 1337 paused, calculating in his head.

“We’ll do it!”

Chance slammed his hand on the table, his smile wide.

“What-“ Guest whisper-shouted under his breath.

“We’ll have him dead as soon as possible.” Chance threw finger guns.

Jane doe’s eyes narrowed in slight concern of their abilities.

“The offer still stands open, whoever ends up returning him dead first.”

“We have other participants.”

“Pshh, I’m sure we’ll be first.” Chance waved his hand out as if to say ‘it’s ok’.

“Lovely chat Mrs. Doe, we’ll keep in touch.” Chance placed a hand over Jane’s hand in a delicate manner. Trying to show his undying gratitude.

Chance lifted himself up, pulling on Guest 1337’s arm.

“Uh- yes. We’ll talk for any updates—“ Guest tried to mouth out before he was pulled out the room.

The workers from inside looked over in confusion before Guest’s voice was drowned out by the door shutting.

The room’s entrance slamming behind them.

Chance huffed, stretching his back. Wasting no time to plan.

Already pushing Guest 1337 out of the shady building and into the streets again.

“What was that back there—?”

“Can’t you let me speak for once?”

Guest complained.

“Hush, you talk too much.” Chance yawned.

Chance pushed Guest into the driver’s seat, throwing the keys atop his lap. Before plopping into the cushion of the backseats.

“You really didn’t even need to bargain, I would’ve taken the job either way.” Chance cracked his neck as Guest started up the car.

The clicking noise of his bones cracking providing satisfaction.

“Chance, do you even realize how dangerous this is? We should have argued for more-!”

Guest raised his voice in frustration.

“Worrying like that will give you wrinkles y’know.” Chance chuckled at his own jab.

“I can already see some forming…”

“Well, it’s hard not to stress out when you’re agreeing to assassinate the mafia without any discussion-“ Guest bit his tongue.

“What we should really be stressing over, is the plan!” He exclaimed in excitement, spreading out his arms and legs with a toothy grin.

“Plan? You never plan.” Guest kept his attention on the road.

“Yeah, this job is exciting! Just the challenge I need.”

“Dear Telamon.” Guest sighed.

“I’d imagine it’d be easier from afar— but that’s no fun, is it?” Chance grasped the seats head- rest from behind. Peering over Guest 1337’s shoulder.

“Will you take this seriously? It’s not a fun game.” Guest’s grip on the wheel hardened.

“Oh Guest, you know I work best when I’m having fun.”

“We’ll plan all this later. We have time.”

“So now you’re pro procrastination?” Chance whined.

“Telamon so help me-“

“Oh will you shut your trap? Just let me kill people and have fun while doing it.” Chance barked.

Guest 1337 pinched his nose in silence.

Pulling over into the parking lot of Chance’s apartment complex.

“Speak to you later.” Guest 1337 huffed as Chance exited the car.

Chance simply nodded, his teeth gritted from Guest’s earlier comments.

It’s just the mafia, nothing too bad.

He owns a casino, shady business like that always occurs around there. Shouldn’t be anything too special. Considering his occupation, it’d probably be pretty tame.

Just the spice that his life needed.
