Excerpt:“Well, I need a big favour from you. Before I tell you, I have to say you shouldn’t feel obliged to go through with it at all! Even if you ate half of the chocolates already,” she continued with a nervous laughter. “But if you do help me out, I promise I’ll owe you for the rest of your life!”
He waited for her to elaborate, but she wouldn’t say anything else as she was too busy shifting her weight between her feet, trying to get comfortable while standing before him. The fact that she was already a nervous wreck and she hasn’t even told him what she wanted yet only heightened his curiosity -- and wariness.
“Merlin, Granger, do you need me to kill someone for you?” He teased with a smirk hiding the edge apprehension in his voice as he lifted himself from the chair and walked over to her.
“No! Of course not!” She pursed her lips, looking up at him as he towered over her. After a second of hesitation, she continued. “Do you have any plans for Christmas?”

“I can't believe this!”
Hermione was thrashing about in the room as Draco watched her. It had been a long, tiring day where they had been assigned in Devon, to investigate an old mansion that had been reported to have dark magic traces coming from it. They had spent the entire day in the snow, trying to break the curses that were surrounding it because apparently it had indeed been infested with dark magic. And then the snow fall had become unbearable and they were forced to seek shelter because their work wasn't finished.
“Calm down, Granger. It's not that bad.” Draco was standing still in the middle of the modest room that had a small plastic Christmas tree put up in the corner in the spirit of the holidays.
All was well when they had found the small inn, only to discover that they were fully booked for the weekend except for one room.

“What?” she repeated, this time she heard the shock in her own voice.
Malfoy huffed at her and grabbed her hand, hauling her up and practically dragging her towards the dance floor. His hand was big and cool and his grip on her was a little disconcerting. Had they ever touched each other before?
“Come the fuck on Granger. It’s criminal no one has asked you to dance yet.”
