Summary
Without saying anything, Eddie crosses to sit in front of Buck on the bench, one leg propped up across it. He looks at Buck expectantly, but doesn’t otherwise press for information, knowing Buck will explain when he’s ready.
Buck exhales softly and reaches forward to swipe a stray droplet of water from the dip of Eddie’s collarbone; his skin is warm, almost hot to the touch from the shower. Eddie just watches him, his eyes never leaving Buck’s face as Buck slides his fingers to the left to rest them lightly on top of the raised skin of the bullet scar.

Summary
Time seems to have come to a complete and perfect stop, frozen just like Buck feels himself to be - perfect, unmoving stillness, as if his limbs are crystallized, captured like dust motes in a beam of sunlight.
Eddie is falling. Buck feels like he is falling, too - falling up, in, away, his mind collapsing in on itself, vacating the empty, frozen shell of his body.
