When you’ve lived through the end of the world, how do you move on?
Rook de Riva never expected there to be an ‘after' to this job. For twenty-two years, Rook was an Antivan Crow by circumstance, not by choice. While returning to the yoke of the Crows after so long away proves a bitter pill to swallow, it is life with the new First Talon that forces a reckoning with past wounds left unhealed.

Summary
The first thing Lucanis and Spite agreed on was to escape and get their revenge on everyone that had a hand in the torture and experiments they were forced to go through. They would paint the world with their blood.
The second thing Lucanis and Spite agreed on was Rook. How she smelled, how she laughed, how she touched them with care. When they were near her, it was peace. She teased them both with sweet words laced in mischief, and they both realized that it is possible to want something more than revenge.
The third thing they agreed on was coffee. Because coffee is life.

Summary
"Rook has a tattoo," and Spite won't let it go. It's enough to drive Lucanis up a wall. He's trying to focus on the gods, the fight, anything but the other crow in the Lighthouse. It's bad enough she haunts his dreams even when he desperately tries to avoid sleep. But she's got a tattoo, and if he doesn't see it soon, Spite will drive him insane.
Problem being no one will tell him what it is... or why Viago knows what it looks like... Or why Spite is determined to rat his helpless romantic self out to the woman he dreams of kissing.
Guess he'll just have to see it for himself.
