Neku, the only one that still responded to his calls, dies and is reincarnated over and over again. Joshua watches as his soul becomes a cherry tree, a cat, and a butterfly. Joshua takes care of him through each life until the fateful day that he can see Neku as a human again.

So, Joshua sighs, and pops into the group chat with all the other Joshes in their respective universes and asks them if he can interview their Nekus with their oversight. He stretches his arms and legs well before he goes on his little trip – this might take a good, long while.

On it, a small door catches his attention, piquing his curiosity at the odd situation. For some inexplicable reason, when the door opens, he enters – and he’s right back in Shibuya. Joshua is the first person to greet him, warmly welcoming him back home with open arms.

And why does this Josh have button eyes?
