Kei asked the question to receive a specific answer. The words that had appeared above his right elbow when he’d turned 19: You first.
The words were in Japanese.
Kei left for America first, and then Korea. And here he was still, but his new members would be Japanese. It had seemed like fate. He decided to stop running. He wouldn’t be surprised if this was where he would find someone sharing a dream, their fate, his life even, if the other wanted.

Fuma is a liar. Pathological.
Kei has known—has always known—that a human heart beats a certain way when it spins falsehoods. And Fuma’s? It sings and stutters to the tune of abject dishonesty.
The lock clicks. Kei opens the door.
Fuma is standing there, looking suspiciously self-satisfied, holding up an empty plastic container as if it contains a viable excuse.
“I need sugar,” he says, too quick, too practiced. His grin is all bright confidence, like he’s not about to be called out immediately. “Baking tonight.”
Kei leans against the doorframe. “Midnight?” A flat stare. “Also, you don’t bake.”
“I do now. It’s a new hobby.”
Lie.

Summary
"Good morning, sleepyhead,"
Fuma all but jerks backwards, sitting up so quickly that he nearly knocks his head into the edge of his nightstand. The voice that he wakes up to startles him — not just because of how warm and syrupy it sounds, but because, by all means, there shouldn't be a voice. Fuma lives alone.
"Who— who are you?! What are you doing in my house? In my bed?!" Fuma sputters, nudging his glasses up his nosebridge with the panicked back of his hand. The stranger blinks slowly, which, admittedly, makes him look even prettier than he already is, and a slow, warm smile tugs on his lips.
"I'm Yudai," he starts, his voice softening just slightly, as if unfazed by Fuma's panic.
"I'm your husband, from the future,"
Fuma thinks he's content with where he is, paying little to no mind to comments from his extended family about how other people his age are settling down, having kids. Fuma thinks he's fine as he is, which, really, he is. Until someone, allegedly from the future, comes along and starts making him think that maybe, he isn't.
