Summary
He never even knew how to ask for these things, nor would he do so even if he did, because he did not want to take from Kaveh. Despite how comfortable he knew Kaveh had become, he feared that if he sought more from him, he might scare him away. He felt that he had already asked so much from him simply to have him live in his home, pay rent, and accept his presence. He felt that he already asked so much when he put up with his attitude, even if Kaveh had started most of their past arguments. But no, he felt that he took enough on that day at the Akademiya, when he shattered their relationship with one simple statement.
He asked enough from him when he rekindled their relationship. He could not ask for more.
