Summary
“How did you get home from the hospital?”
“Took an uber.”
“Does Maddie know?” Silence. “Does anyone?” More silence. More of Buck refusing to meet his gaze, staring at the door like he thought he could entice Eddie to leave by the power of suggestion. Well, good fucking luck, Eddie thought. Wild horses, and all that. “Why didn’t you call anyone?” he demanded. “Why didn’t you call me?”
“I did!” Buck snarled. The momentum of his indignation carried him into a sitting position, and Eddie could see him flinch with the pain of it. His unnaturally stoic front was gone, and something raw and wrenching took its place; it occurred to Eddie that he’d never heard Buck raise his voice before. “I did call you, Eddie! As I was bleeding out on my kitchen floor. You. Didn’t. Answer.”

The squatter in Buck's attic has a knife. Buck has a bit of a breakdown. Eddie has a plan to make everything right.

Summary
Chimney: Hey, Buck, you knew Eddie’s grandmother, right? Do you have any suggestions about what kind of flowers we should send to their family?
Hen: Yeah, I was thinking maybe some carnations? What do you think? Are there specific kinds we should be getting? For tradition?”
Chimney: Or maybe we can order from one of those websites? You know, the ones that send those pre-made flowers and cards.
Ravi: Wait… did someone die?
Hen: Eddie’s grandmother. It was sudden, but it was peaceful. Happened in her sleep last night.
Chimney: He told me and Hen this morning. He won’t be coming in for his shift today.
Chimney: Buck??? You there?
Buck reads through the texts. And then reads through them again, as if, by some supernatural occurrence, they’ll change. Bobby hasn’t even been gone a year, and now Isabel is gone too? He almost doesn’t believe it’s true. Eddie would have told him if it were true. Wouldn’t he?
Or: Buck is the last of the group to learn about Isabel's passing and it brings up feelings.

Summary
During Season 3, Buck survives a fire truck bombing, a tsunami, saves dozens of lives, and nearly loses the person he loves most. Then he sues the man he once called family. With the 118 distant, Christopher out of reach, and his mind turning against him, Buck disappears into silence. But when silence begins to feel safer than survival, someone finally notices—and it might not be too late.
This is literally just sad times - season 8 is NOT going how I thought (don't spoil I haven't actually gone past S7) and there are literal wars happening everywhere it seems. So this is to distract me from real life problems and focus on fictional ones instead.

Summary
“And you’re gonna do that, where? At the 133?” Buck avoids his gaze. “Or you’re just transferring to a random station where nobody knows you and you can pretend you’re fine?”
“I’m going to the 217,” Buck finally says.
“You’re…” Eddie starts, then scrunches up his nose in confusion. “Why would you even want to–”
Oh no.
Oh hell no.
“Are you fucking serious right now?”
Buck doesn’t say anything, doesn’t even look at him.
“Buck.”
“What.”
Breathe, breathe, brea-
“No, no fucking what. You know exactly what.”
