He’d disdained them at the time, the faceless masses and fool kings, when he’d bothered to think of them at all. He pities them, these uncountable years later. He’s not sure he’s forgiven them.

Summary
The first thing Calix does when Dara wakes up is tell him not to leave.
A sigh shudders through the boy’s form, which doesn’t stop trembling. The physical symptoms of his illness have largely abated with the suppression of his powers, so Calix supposes the cause must be emotional.
Dara squeezes his eyes shut, refusing to look at him. “Just kill me already,” the boy mumbles.
A familiar, if distant, disappointment settles in his chest. No one has ever been so good at letting him down as Dara Shirazi.

Sanji’s laugh twinkles like distant stars as he dances back, out of reach. “Mm, I don’t think so. You were the one who needed to be unwound a bit, weren’t you?”
“You’re not serious.”
Sanji laughs again, already turning away. “G’night, mosshead, no need to tell me how much you enjoyed it.”
“Waiter, what the fuck—”
He leaves Zoro standing in the crisp air as the sun barely peaks the tips of its fingers over the horizon.
Before Zoro kisses him, he’s going to kill Sanji first.
Fooling around with the waiter would be great, actually, if Sanji wasn't the most infuriating person alive.

The war is won, but you wouldn’t know it from the way Shiro goes on. And Keith gets it, he knows that just because the Galra leadership is gone, it doesn’t mean everything is wrapped up in a nice tidy bow. He knows there’s all the after to wade through.
But they’ve done their work. More than their share of work, and rest is important.
If only Shiro would take a hint.
