Disappeared.
Vi’s other eyebrow joined the first.
It was fucking weird Caitlyn was hesitating to ask her anything.
A few seconds later, the dots popped up again.
Vi sighed, starting to type.

Vi laughed, picturing the wrinkle between Caitlyn’s eyebrows as she frowned at Vi’s word choice.
She stuck the last bite of her breakfast in her mouth as the three little dots popped up in the corner of her screen.
Would you consider this “tasteful”?
Vi read the message, her own brow crinkling as she made a confused face at the screen. She started typing “what” but only got as far as “wh–” when an image popped up under the message.
Her best friend had just…
Her best friend had just sent her a fucking nude.

Caitlyn's not her girlfriend. Nor anyone’s girlfriend, as far as Vi knows. Not that it’s Vi’s business, anyway.
She’s only sitting there at every match because of her stupid essay about the social aspects of football and how being part of a team in a sport helps to develop better communication skills and grows the ability to interact with people.
Or whatever. Vi wasn’t really paying that much attention when Caitlyn explained it to her. She has better things to focus on, rather than some pretty girl and her stupidly interesting essay.
Vi only agrees to play football in the schoolyard because Mylo wants to impress the girls. The blue-haired girl that sits down at the stands during practice to take notes for her literature essay is definitely not the reason she keeps going along with it.

Vi Lanes despised Caitlyn Kiramman. She hated that infuriatingly perfect smile, her charming posh accent, the way her dark blue hair always looked so soft, and those piercing blue eyes that seemed to see through everything. But most of all, Vi hated her kindness. It had to be fake—how could it not be? Caitlyn was a born and bred Piltovian, after all, yet somehow managed to be one of the few who actually seemed to tolerate Zaunites. But Vi refused to believe it. It had to be an act.

Caitlyn wasn’t afraid to ask more personal questions, either. “What made you come back to visit me?” she asked one day, her voice tentative but curious.
Vi hesitated, her hand resting on the edge of Caitlyn’s bed. She shrugged, looking away for a moment. “At first? Guilt, I guess. But now…” She met Caitlyn’s gaze, her eyes softening. “I just… I like being here. With you.”
