Technoblade was supposed to be retired. Yet here he is, sitting in a cafe with his old boss. The last case broke him, it was brutal, and now someone is dead, his friend is dead. He got sick of the violence; he felt like it was slowly taking him over. Like he was being replaced by someone else.
“This is nothing like anything we’ve seen. We need you,” Scott insisted, he sounded desperate. It also sounded like it was a personal problem Techno shouldn’t have to deal with.
“I can’t,” Techno deadpanned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He couldn’t go back to that, couldn’t go back to hearing them.
“Techno,” Scott sighed, his blue eyes, pleading and begging for Techno. “Please.”
He tried to say no when they first called him weeks ago, but he declined the call. When they called him again and again, he just ended up blocking the number. He ignored the letters and emails, even the knocks on his door. However, Scott sat down across from him while he drank his morning coffee.
“Explain the case to me.”

Summary
His ears perked up at the sound of a door opening and footsteps on concrete. He swallowed the fear that he felt. More tears fell as the footsteps grew ever nearer. There was a moment of quiet, where the footsteps halted and Philza took a shaky breath.
Only to squeal in shock at the light that nearly blinded him. He tried to back away from the worst of the bright light, but there wasn’t anywhere he could go.
“Well, well, well. Look who’s finally awake.”
That wasn’t Mister Technoblade’s voice. That was….that was a complete stranger. Well, maybe not completely. The voice belonged to the man that tried to take him from the supermarket, and the guy who chased him in the woods.
Philza was shaking when he opened his eyes and made contact with the man that held him hostage.
