I really love the theme of love letters. My husband and I often exchanged them, although most of our correspondence took place on social media. After we got married, I didn't take his surname because I had published a collection of poems under my own name and didn't see the point in dealing with paperwork, but it was always important to him. It's been two years since I took my husband's surname, but last week we heard a song by a Ukrainian bandura player, based on a letter from Ukrainian artist Viktor Zaretsky to his wife, also artist Alla Horska.
