every kingdom or village has their rumors or legends. may it be a evil witch who wanders the nearby forest, or something as vague as a werewolf. legends similar to these are nothing new to the kingdom of white, they had a multitude of these such stories; but one had always stood out more than the rest.
though, this one was true.not far past the kingdom's walls, a long trail spans a myriad of miles, until you are met with a cave, part of a rocky mountain. not as big as the mountain you are most likely envisioning in your head, per say, but… relatively large. the trail ends here, in front of the entrance of the lair. various debris of previous travelers lay in front of this forbidden place, satchels and wood from long put out torches. travelers that were never to be seen again, whether they be the strongest of knights or your run-of-the-mill peasant. the ruthless monster inside of this cave of despair and death holds no mercy – that much is clear.

was all ena really could choke out to the being in front of her. she took a step back from it, or– more fittingly her. ena’s hands shook, her heart pounding. the other girl just looked confused. maybe scared? shit, ena shouldn’t have phrased her question like that.
the other human– no, being, refused to talk. she straightened her back out, looking down to ena.
“sorry, sorry… that sounded mean. you can understand me, can’t you?” ena backtracked hesitantly. she swallowed down her fear. maybe this girl just… needed kindness. she probably didn't get it much from people, nobody with 2 horns on their head would have people be nice to them, really.
