heeseung lets out a light chuckle. "of course."
with that, jaeyun raises his head, looking into heeseung's eyes. his beautiful, beautiful heeseung, who always knows what to do for him even when jaeyun has no idea what he needs. his lovely boyfriend, who stays up with him and cooks for him during his exams even though he's busy with his research himself.
so, he says, "i love you."
and heeseung, as always, says it back. "i love you."

"do you want to lie back down now?"
heeseung nods, and jaeyun slides off his lap to roll over to his side of the bed. he tucks heeseung underneath the blankets first, before cuddling closer to him.
"you're so pretty," heeseung whispers, hand coming up to tuck a tuft of curly hair behind jaeyun's ear. "my pretty baby."
jaeyun groans, flopping his face into a pillow. "stop that, hyung."
"i'm just telling the truth."
"well, you're pretty too, hyung. your pink hair is so cute," jaeyun hums, staring at his boyfriend fondly.
and it's true. jaeyun might be slightly biased, being heeseung's boyfriend and all, but he truly thinks heeseung is just awfully beautiful. whether it's his current pink hair, or his bambi eyes, or pouty lips, everything about heeseung is so alarmingly adorable.

“no, you look so cute,” sunghoon insists, zooming in on sunoo’s face in the mirror. “your smile is my favourite thing about you too!”
“what a sap,” sunoo grumbles, turning around to face sunghoon. “what if one day, i stop smiling? are you going to abandon me when that day comes?”

heeseung raises an eyebrow at that, looking down at the small mark he left on the other’s neck. he knows that sunoo is just fishing for another compliment to boost his ego, but he’s always been a lesser man when it comes to his boyfriend. he brushes his thumb over sunoo’s hand, smiling as he says, “the most gorgeous you’ve ever been, baby.”

And the drama of it all is stupid. It really is. Jake is back-hugging Jay so that Jay can’t look at him, they’re alone in the kitchen, and Jay’s muscles are tight enough to feel like he wants to bolt. They’ve been arguing for more than a year, they couldn’t stand one another for more than ten months, and here they are. Back-hugging in the kitchen. Any more dramatic and this could be the sinking of the Titanic.
“You made me feel bad,” Jay whispers.(Or: Jake and Jay live together. They hate each other. Then they stop living together. And then one day Jake hugs Jay's back and hides his face in Jay's nape.)

The guy chuckled. This motherfucker LAUGHED in Jake's face and turned slightly to snatch the box Jake had been clearly eyeing — and that’s when Jake remembered it.
The sliver of Calvin Klein waistband peeking over the top of his sweatpants. Bold, white letters, clear as day. Calvin Klein. Jake stared for a second too long, then grinned, a devious idea lighting up the bulb in his brain.
His mother would be so disappointed in him.
Without a moment’s hesitation, fueled by righteous rage and petty spite, he grabbed a fistful of the band and yanked them sky high.

Riki rolls his eyes. “Okay, Dad.”
He then turns to Jake and whines, “Jake-hyung, your husband’s a meanie. He ran up the stairs first and left me to carry all the bags by myself.”
His heart skipping a beat, Heeseung wonders if the sudden tension in his shoulders has betrayed him — but Jake, thankfully, is busy laughing at the fact that there’s only one bag. He looks up at Heeseung from where he’s nestled into the older’s side and says, “Hyung, let’s just adopt Riki. He’s so cute when he’s sulking.”
“What are you talking about? We’ve raised him on our backs for a decade already,” Heeseung attempts to laugh it off while staring daggers at the smirk on Riki’s face.
Because after Jake’s defence is done, Heeseung is going to propose.
