She looked up at him to see him pull an identical chain from under his shirt. Namjoon reached out, taking the box from her hand and pulling the chain out, and then taking her charm and bringing it close to his, and suddenly, they snapped together, making the infinity symbol.
“Just like these two charms were drawn together, so were we. When you put them together, they symbolize infinity, eternal. I think of us this way; I want us to be this way. I know it hasn’t been that long and I don’t mean to insinuate too much, but it’s how I feel. Together forever, never-ending,” Namjoon said softly, pulling the charms apart, and then taking hers and reaching out, hooking it around her neck. “It’s never whole without the other piece, so when I’m away overseas, I know the other half of me is waiting. When we’re together, we’re eternal,” he whispered, pulling back to look at her. “I’ll keep it around my neck all the time, close to my heart, just like you are.”
