Summary
After losing to the Adlers and ex-boyfriend Ushiwaka at Kurowashiki, Sakusa Kiyoomi allows Miya Atsumu to make him feel better.
Oh, and how he succeeds.
Sakusa waited until Ushijima had turned the corner and left, before dropping Atsumu’s hand. “Thanks for that.” His cheeks turned pink and he cleared his throat. “See you later.” He turned on his heel and started heading in a different direction.
“Wait!”
Atsumu wasn’t proud of the way his voice came out. Like a squawk, a pathetic mewl. He was a grown ass man, damnit! How dare his larynx betray him so!
“You don’t have to stick around,” Sakusa explained. “I just needed—”
“I wanted to talk to you,” Atsumu said. “ ‘Bout the game. The way you play… really. Had a whole ass TED talk ready about your spikes.”
Sakusa’s surprise was obvious, even under the mask. “Oh?”
“I’ve been waitin’ here for you nearly an hour. Lemme take you out and talk to you. And maybe you can explain what that was all about?”
