Summary
Hanahaki disease, an illness made into a common trope in media and therefore widely misunderstood in reality, is said to be a disease centered around unrequited love. Coughed up flower petals, delicate tears. The reality was much crueler, cruder.
Hyunjin, upbeat and alight but unable to feel romantic love, slowly corrodes under the pressure of a rare and understudied illness while Minho, a level-headed realist in love enough to ache, makes wishes he would never believe in before the light of his life was at risk.
