Summary
It was like watching a puppeteer pull all of Harrow’s strings simultaneously, Gideon thought; the little hagette stood straighter, though not taller- she was still five foot nothing, more furious purse dog than shaking purse dog- but she nodded firmly, once, before turning to Cam.
"Very well,” she said. “Marry me, Camilla.”
A vicious spit-take on Gideon’s part translated to one exceptionally high eyebrow in Cam, but nothing more.
“Like I said,” Cam began carefully, “I’m married to Dulcie, and unfortunately, polyamory is not recognized under the UCMJ. I can’t marry you without her losing her benefits.”
Then, because Cam was the absolute worst, she shrugged and said, offhandedly,
“Why don’t you marry Gideon?”- or -

Summary
Caitlyn Kiramman owns a quiet little bookshop in Salem, where the scent of old paper and fresh coffee lingers in the air. Vi, an elementary school art teacher with paint-stained hands and a habit of talking too much, stops by often—sometimes for books, sometimes for an excuse to stay a little longer.
When Caitlyn asks Vi to paint a small mural for the children's section, Vi—completely and utterly smitten—offers to do the whole store instead. So, every Sunday, with the shop closed to customers, Vi paints while Caitlyn reads nearby, their worlds quietly overlapping in ways neither of them expected.
It's just a mural. Just coffee and pastries. Just stories shared in the golden glow of afternoon light.
Or maybe, it's something else entirely.

Summary
“Gideon,” said Palamedes with the patience of a saint, “the rules are the rules. It wouldn’t be fair if I changed them just for you. In a well ordered society—
“It’s not a well ordered society.” Gideon knew where that was going, and she certainly didn’t have the time. She slapped a slip of paper onto the counter and said, “It’s secret santa.”
And there lay the source of all of her problems: handwritten in a script so neat and precise it could have been printed, Harrowhark Nonagesimus. And everyone knew that Gideon and Harrow hated each other.
So what if they had started taking smoke breaks together? So what if Harrow had helped her fold shirts just last week, in a store she didn’t even work in? So what if Harrow had laughed as the two of them did Jagerbombs at Palamedes’ Halloween party, the glint of her fake fangs flashing invitingly in the orange party lights? They hated each other. The two of them would both work in the mall until one of them inevitably strangled the other with her bare hands, and Gideon wouldn’t have it any other way.
Except that lately, Gideon had started to like Harrow.
Which made that slip of paper a fucking problem.
