“What can I say? Y’know, I can say things worth while. And you ain’t gotta refer to me with that much disgust, either!” Montresor scoffed, and while the words were played up in that typical dramatic way of his, they bled out into something realer towards the end. Montresor recalled his own voice and realized he didn’t recognize it.
