Summary
Euijoo’s hushed prayers echo in his ears as he stares ahead at the screens where they display Effie digging into the bowl of names. Nicholas can't think about anything except for a plea to anyone, anything for it to not be Harua. His eyes plant themselves on the rows far ahead of him and Euijoo, practically glaring into the back of Harua's head. His eyes stay stuck onto Harua's chocolate brown strands even when he hears the crinkling of paper over the microphone.
His heart slows as he listens to her clear her throat into the microphone, hoping that one of Euijoo's many prayers work. He exhales a shaky breath as she opens her mouth to speak.
“Wang Yixiang!”

Summary
"Awful day. I don't want to get into it."
"So awful that you can't get into it but you can smoke a cigarette?" Euijoo nearly laughs out loud at Nicholas' choice of actions. Instead, he scoffs softly, so soft that he's sure the wind has blown it away along with the cigarette smoke the second it escaped his mouth.
"Yeah," Nicholas looks up at him from the cold floor of the balcony. Without another word, Nicholas lifts the cigarette out from his mouth and extends his arm out to Euijoo. A quiet offer of easy relaxation.
As a young boy, Euijoo's mother had drilled into him that the second a cigarette touched his pure lips and inhaled the cancer causing air into his body, he would immediately die. Euijoo knows this not to be true at the age of twenty three but still, he hesitates at Nicholas' offer.
The first (sober) cigarette of Nicholas' life and Euijoos' last.

hanbin has a dilemma. well, not really dilemma— what hanbin has is a problem. a big, big problem. a problem that she doesn't even want to think about for longer than a minute out of fear that she'll begin having a raging headache that only digs nails into her temples. she's in love with her one of her student's mother.

nicholas isn't a typical omega.
his heat cycle is so, so strange that euijoo can never manage to keep track of it even if he tried (which he does actually, with a calendar and all.) now typically most omegas heats come every two months, like his and harua's does. and maybe if you have a health condition, it'll come every six months which is odd but not concerning. now here comes nicholas, whose heat comes once a year as if it were a holiday.
however, nicholas is only human after all and he was bound to forget about his heats at some point.

the first time taerae meets ricky, taerae is off put by him. taerae is no stranger to weird people in the diner but ricky isn't like that. it's just something about him that taerae can't quite put his finger on.
taerae takes no time to greet him and ricky takes even less time to order. he doesn't even glance at the menu, he gazes into taerae's eyes with his own deep eyes and simply says, "just a coke will be fine."
or:
ricky is one of taerae's regular customers at the diner he works at and ricky oddly only orders a coke. taerae is intrigued by this, to say the least.
