Surely, under the uniform and the niceness and the deliberate refusal to engage with sexual innuendo (and it was deliberate – Fraser wasn’t stupid), Fraser was a guy, same as Ray was. If he wanted to be partners with Ray for good, he was going to want to get laid. Ray wasn’t exactly sure how he felt about the prospect.

Note: This Touch AU takes its canon divergence point from a scene in the Embers series fic Unquenchable, which is set shortly after Petty Treasons and deals with Kip's episode of bonebreak fever mentioned in Hands of the Emperor. It's written as a standalone - it's not necessary to read any of the Embers fics to follow this one - though Unquenchable does give Kip's pov of some of the early scenes if that's of any interest.

Created this series to explore intimacy in a way that is more personally tangible to me--some comfort for myself--and because I want to see more stuff like this in fandom :)
All fic in this series are meant to represent an established queerplatonic relationship. Intimacy is the focus. Probably never going to get into how they established their relationship or what labels they use. Feel free to read their relationship however you'd like.
