A short story written for the Star Speckled June One-Shot collection, for which the limit was 4k words.
Fevronia the Riolu and Blaide the Lopunny are members of a team working at the prestigious Mark's Guild. Despite the camaraderie expected to be seen between the members of a team, the two are often observed doing actions that show that camaraderie barely exists. It is up to Adrian the Minccino to fix that, but success is not guaranteed.
Canon-compliant with the forum RP "PMD: The Reuse of the Stones of Life", but it hasn't been deemed as truly canon.

Great fanfic, that reads like a shonen manga, while not sacrificing the plot. Also pays a whole lot of attention to explaining why every character action is committed, which does wonders for characterisation.

Summary
With the recent string of strange space-time anomalies (dubbed Distortions) appearing around the city of Hyacinth, it was only natural a new guild would spring up to stop them. And after getting trapped in a Distortion, dying, then coming back to life, Mai probably has more knowledge on the true nature of Distortions than anyone else in the world!
So naturally she sidelines the quest to prevent Distortions and instead joins Gholdengo's Guild of Commerce, along with a god-turned-mortal and a sentient coin.
What could go wrong?
