    Phil is in awe of the way Dan is who he is. Ashamadely and loudly and with so much conviction. Even through the years in the dark forest, where Phil’s light couldn’t always reach him, Dan was exactly who he was. Even if it hurt Phil to watch, sometimes.

    Dan has always been something beautiful, someone carved out of marble, the blueprints of which could only have been drawn with Phil in mind.

    “Don’t,” Dan whispers. He’s breathy. Practically vibrating with the words of approval.
