Summary
“I don't think you're one of my strays,” the man says. Kaeya startles a little at the rasp of his voice, lurching backwards only to remember where he is a second later, leaning back in with an arm over the man’s throat to overcompensate. He takes a little satisfaction in the way the man chokes at the added pressure. He’s disgruntled when the stranger continues to grin, and Kaeya gets the sudden impression that the choking noise was simply to satisfy him and not because the man felt any threat.
“I'm not a stray,” he retorts hotly, remembering that the man had insulted him only moments prior.
“Are you not?” The man speaks easily, only confirming Kaeya's suspicions that the wheeze was simply to play into the role of a submissive captive, and not because the man’s airways were actually at risk of harm.

Summary
Viktor's eyes soften. "Oh, Jayce." He murmurs.
His voice is so soft, so kind, in the gloom of Jayce's home, in the gloom of the early morning and the empty moonlight that plucks at the edge of his curtains. He does not know what to do with himself, frozen with indecision and shock, so taken aback by the kind hand extended to him that he cannot even process the words beyond their quiet compassion.
He whines, low in his chest. The sound itself is pathetic, and Jayce himself feels even more so.
Or: the night Viktor discovers there is a little more to Jayce than he expected.

“Please, Viktor,” she says. “I really need this favour.”
“As I have already said, I will have to decline.” Viktor frowns. “I hope you know this is not me doing this from spite I am, ah, otherwise occupied this evening, and I can sense that this favour of yours is not a quick thing, no?”
“It is not.” She confirms. She feels her shoulders slump a little with defeat, even as Vi snickers behind her.
“Otherwise occupied? I think I can guess the reason Jayce can't come to the door right now, cupcake.”
“It is nothing so lewd.” Viktor's face twists around the word, but he seems amused.
“Shame,” Vi says. “You look like you could use it. Stress relief and all that.”
or: Jayce is not quite...himself when Caitlyn visits him for a favour.

Summary
A tiger cub peers back at him, blinking its wide, bi-coloured eyes at him. Right. Sure. This is certainly a situation for him to deal with. He rocks back on his heels, watching as the tiger cub, newly exposed to the light of the outside world, follows after his hand and pokes its head out from the confines of Atsushi’s discarded shirt.
It certainly doesn't take a genius to figure out what likely occurred, especially with the odd mist beginning to disperse- lingering far longer than it should have in the first place, especially with the hot afternoon sun overhead. Any mist should have disappeared early in the morning, sun chasing away the sea fret as soon as it began its ascent.
“Well,” he leans forward, gathering the tiger cub and the clothes, watching as his suspicions are confirmed as the cub transforms back into a baby, with the same bi-coloured eyes and horrific haircut as his mentee. “What am I going to do with you?”

Or: Atsushi gets temporarily turned into a baby. Dazai makes it so it's no longer his problem. (It is still, somehow, his problem.)

Summary
Dazai appears on the street, head turning around before he fixates on the motorbike and its rider. He makes an immediate beeline for them, and though Atsushi can't see their face for the helmet blocking it, he hopes they can see his face and the get away immediately look he’s sending in their direction.
They don't kick off of the pavement and roar away into the traffic, so either they don't see him or have chosen to ignore him. He spares a small prayer for the person, about to turn away from whatever scene is about to commence outside when Dazai steps right up against the person, far too close for it to be at all friendly.
He winces, squinting his eyes until they're almost shut, waiting for the inevitable attack on Dazai. The person doesn't react at all, leaning back a little further and not winding up to punch Dazai square across the jaw.

Or: five times Dazai’s co-workers observe his interactions with his...spouse (?), and one time the confusion is (mostly) removed.

“And you die once it happens.”
Again, not a question. “You can.” When Mobei-jun makes an absolutely terrifying face, Shang Qinghua hastens to add, “But not instantly! Y-you can actually recover from it, if the hypothermia doesn’t progress too far.”
“How far?” Mobei-jun growls.
“There are f-f-f-five stages,” Shang Qinghua shivers out, lips numb. “The fifth stage is death.”

Shang Qinghua and Mobei-jun have their spiritual powers sealed before getting dumped in a white-out snowstorm. Mobei-jun quickly learns that humans are far more susceptible to the cold than he thought.

Shang Qinghua is not stupid.
It does not take a genius to know what it means when you ask a servant where your lord has left to and they readily supply the name of an exclusive brothel in between the two realms. Especially when it's after your utterly disastrous first time together.
So he goes away for a bit to clear his head. And promptly gets kidnapped.

Luo Binghe takes a male consort? The demons watch and learn.
Luo Binghe’s consort is a human cultivator? The demons are taking notes.
Luo Binghe’s human consort is a Cang Qiong Peak Lord? The demons are frantically making checklists that would determine one’s suitability to be a consort, and guess who ticks all the boxes.
(Or, the one where Shang Qinghua suddenly becomes Prime Demon Marriage Material™.)

Summary
“You are not serious.”
Himeko is a great boss, gentle, yet firm, and highly demanding, but not to the point where one would wake up each morning dreading the prospect of going to work. She rules their little agency full of lunatics with an iron fist clenched around a caramel macchiato, which is no easy feat to achieve. Himeko often tells Dan Heng that great success requires a little bit of bravery, but this was less dipping your toes into unknown waters and a whole lot more of running into an open fire while doused in gasoline.
Figures. It takes a crazy person to lord over his colleagues in the way their illustrious Chief does.
Correction: Himeko is a great boss who just happens to be downright insane.
And this time, she had Dan Heng in her sights.
“As serious as this coffee is cold.”
Dan Heng gets tasked with taking some photos of the rising star of modern cinema. Needless to say, he isn't too excited by this.
