Summary
Eddie Munson’s seen enough of Steve Harrington to last a lifetime. He’s rich, popular, mean for sport, and somehow manages to turn every house party into his own personal ego parade. Summary
Steve Harrington hasn't booked an acting gig in months. Eddie Munson is a world-famous musician with a cult following.
When the two meet at a dingy bar in Greenpoint, New York Steve has no idea who he is. Only that he is mysterious, magnetic, and impossible not to fall for. When the machinery of fame and social media finally catches up with them, Steve begins to unravel under the weight of it all.
"So why are you here?" Steve asked, keeping his tone light, like he hadn't just told a stranger the most vulnerable parts of his week.
He leaned in a little, not in a threatening way, more conspiratorial. He smiled, like he already knew how Steve would respond.
"I'm hiding from the world," he whispered, as if it were something shameful but also kind of funny.Steve smirked.
"Wow. The whole world?""Feels like it, yeah." He shrugged, his grin still present but softer now. There was a brightness to his eyes that didn't match the rest of him.

Summary
Eddie Munson, with no future left for him in Hawkins, grabbed his band, dragged them to California, and gave up everything for a chance at fame.
For the first time in his life, taking a risk paid off. Corroded Coffin shot to the top of the charts in a matter of months. Their concept album may have been inspired by Hawkins, but Eddie never had to think about that awful fucking town again.
Or at least, not for three years.
In 1989, after the last show of Corroded Coffin's "Nails in the Coffin" tour, its frontman finds himself speeding down the highway from Indianapolis back to Hawkins. Back home. To save the people who saved him back in spring of 1986.
He arrives just in time to see Steve Harrington rise into the air.
