There's a million and one reasons that Klavier knows that he can't date Apollo Justice. Their lifestyles are entirely different, Apollo's still shuttling between Khura'in and LA, Klavier can't stomach getting on a plane anymore. Apollo hates the idea of fame, Klavier can't even go to the corner store without being recognized. But Klavier sees Apollo calming Sebastian, Klavier's friend, after a bad trial. He finds out that Apollo sent Courte, Klavier's favorite teacher, flowers while she was in the hospital after the attempted murder. He knows how much Apollo loves Vongole, how Apollo holds her when she cries, when she misses Kristoph. How is Klavier supposed to not love Apollo after that?

It wouldn't be fair for Apollo to be in love with Klavier Gavin. He doesn't know when or if he'll ever return to LA, he's constantly busy with work, and surely Klavier doesn't want someone who reminds him of Kristoph. But he'll catch Klavier giving Trucy tips on how to protect herself while performing. He hears Clay raving about how Klavier sends him a signed copy of an out-of-print Gavinners album.
