If you know me, you know I’m a very casual and self conscious writer, but this sounded like so much fun I wanted to give it a go and throw myself outside my comfort zone. When Echo had put his hand on her shoulder, back on Pabu, she had been surprised, muted by exhaustion, at how welcome the touch was. It had been so long since someone had last touched her. Even longer since she had ever enjoyed it.
How long had it been? Her mind wandered, listing off as Riyo began to usher her towards a room to stay in for the night. Luckily the Senator seemed to recognize that after the events on Weyland, the trip to Pabu, the trip to Pantora, the debrief with Echo—there was nothing left for Emerie to give. This brief meeting was the very bottom of her reserves.
She wanted to be here, she reminded herself. She needed, for herself, to be here. This was the path the rest of her life would follow: righting her wrongs, however she could.
If Senator Chuchi thought her life story would help, then so be it.
Her name had not always been Emerie Karr.
Now, as part of the Clone Underground, she must reclaim the people she once was, and help create a galaxy for all the clones to call their own.

You scanned the mask he donned on his face. It was firm up on the top half, holes sunken in to let him see through while the bottom was more of a mesh fabric, stuck to his skin like a balaclava but covering everything thickly enough.
Not to mention the eye black that was smeared on his skin beneath the mask.
It was a unique choice for sure. But, you remembered many preferred to conceal their identity.
Gaze flitting back to the men before you, you go over your prior missions and explain what your higher ups told you. Walking to a table to set your things down.

You didn't exactly like living in Gotham. It wasn't a great place to live. Dangerous, expensive, ruled by corrupt politicians, rich people ruining everyone's day, and just unpleasant. The only upside was Batman and he hadn't shown his face in the city for five years now.
Despite yearly plots to ruin Gotham, you were able to make a healthy living as a white hat hacker, enough to keep you living where the money was. Like a bounty hunter, you saw requests to fix security holes in websites and you did that. On the side, you built computers and made a brick doing that. In your spare time, you built your own devices. So... I guess you could say you were a tech geek, and really good at what you did.
Too good. Your talents caught the attentions of the League of Shadows. And when Bane wanted someone on his side, you didn't have the power to say no.

Nikto was not a good man. He’d seen the vilest things that this bullshit called humanity had to offer, and he’d done worse, and he’d had worse done to him.
She seemed smart… that could be more of a challenge, more dangerous, but he would prefer smart to stupid.
Nikto hated stupid people. Nikto was not a good man.
Sputnik came up and bumped his nose against Nikto’s gloved hand. He gave the hyena his requested scratch behind the ears, then he stood and turned for the door. It had been long enough. Time to see if he was about to have to dispose of a body, or if the universe had finally seen fit to reward him for all his suffering.
