Whoever said the truth would set you free is a godamn liar.
It's been nearly two months since Gerard Gibson's life came crashing down around him, and he keeps expecting to feel better now that his secrets have been laid bare, but he is feeling more exposed and vulnerable than ever. Everyone keeps telling him that time heals all wounds, but Gibsie knows that what is broken inside of him can never be healed, and he would rather return to the way things were before instead of rehashing his ghosts from the past.
Claire Biggs is struggling. In trying to do the right thing by her boyfriend, she has effectively turned his world upside down and doesn't know how to help him. Despite Gibsie's promises to let Claire into his life, he is still holding her at arm's length. On top of it all, Claire can feel the rest of their friend group unraveling as secrets and lies continue to pile up around them, and she doesn't know if she has the strength to keep it all together.
