Sometimes Nadja and Laszlo go hunting together, and sometimes Colin Robinson locks himself in his room, and the house gets quiet.
Sometimes Guillermo takes these days off, puts on some comfortable clothes and lays on the fancy room couch, mindlessly scrolling through his phone.
And sometimes Nandor moves through the books, taking one of the many old volumes he probably knows word for word, and he lifts Guillermo's legs, sits on the couch, letting them lay on top of him. And neither of them talk about it. -

He knocked on the coffin twice, just like every day. Nandor grumbled from within, murmuring something Guillermo couldn't quite hear, but sure was something within the lines of "I don't want to get up now, Guillermo, go away."
"Master, today's the Council's big party, remember? You need to get ready." Guillermo answered gently, lifting the coffin lid and being met with Nandor's half opened eyes.

He felt like he was two steps behind, he didn't know if it was worth hoping if he didn't even know if Nandor would come back.
He shook the idea off his head. Nandor will come back.
