In dreams, love is ever the strongest current of feelings, the primary drive behind all others that accompany it - from joy to fear to lust and to rage. Beautiful and powerful and so full of life. How could one not be tempted into letting it consume you, again and again, even if surely no good would come of it - but maybe not, not this time… oh, what a treacherous thing hope could be.

Summary
It's always been enough for Leonardo that Ezio is his friend, that he is the one he trusts enough to come to for respite and peace. It's enough that he can watch the rise and fall of Ezio's chest as he sleeps and know that he is safe. Ezio's sleepy "caro mio" breaks his heart just a little each time, but it's enough.
