No question mark, just the blunted grammar that he usually corrects, brushing right past a come on or suck up to insist Ilya shouldn't know that word. He all the time ignores the effort Ilya puts in, the ways he tries and tries, how he’s getting better. When Hollander responds with barely a three second delay, Ilya misses the criticism.
