"Are you okay?"
Satoru's stupid mouth has to go and say, in front of the most gorgeous man he's ever seen, “Yeah, now that you’re here.”
The man’s face drops and Satoru thinks for a terrifying second that they’ll have to roll him out of this damn cafe in a casket—not that he’d mind that Handsome Guy’s face is the last thing he’d see.
Then, like the goddamn heavens have just split open the sky, an angel's choir meets his ears. Handsome Guy is giggling. Giggling in every sense of the word; eyes squinted and crinkled with joy, hair slipping over his shoulder like an oil spill, a hint of sharp canines behind curved lips. Sure, it’s more of a chuckle but let a man dream.
“Sorry, that was terrible,” Satoru says, with a small, totally cool chuckle of his own. “I’m not usually that bad at pick up lines.”
“Yeah,” Handsome Guy agrees, stepping up to the counter to rest a hand against it and lean across it with a smile. “That was pretty bad.”

Satoru is very poor and very in love with a mysterious rich man he meets at his cafe job that seems to be holding more secrets than he's letting on--not that Satoru can speak, he's got too many of his own to count.

Summary
So Suguru’s moving to kiss him— big deal. His breath smells like alcohol, and Satoru should find it gross but he doesn’t. Suguru turns his chin just slowly enough for Satoru to change his mind, but all Satoru does it comply, letting Suguru’s hand guide him towards him with mischief in his eyes and a small smile, and it’s just not a big deal, they’re just fucking around: Satoru feels fully confident about the lightheartedness of this moment right up until the very second Suguru slots their lips together.

Or: One kiss is all it takes to make the dam crumble, to make Satoru ache for things he doesn't understand. All he craves is to keep taking pleasure from Suguru, and he can't seem to put together why Suguru's indulging him.
