Summary
Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.
“Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”
He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.
or
Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.

“Wow…” he breathes.
He moves the spoon, tilts it just a fraction, and watches in aeons-slow motion as the light glides through it, like liquid or some secret, fourth state of matter. No, fifth. Plasma is a thing. Is this plasma?
“No, babydoll, it’s not plasma,” Jasper replies with a wry smile, and oh, Guy must still be talking.
Armand gives a curt little sigh.
“Well, this is a horrifying glimpse into what could have been,” he says in a voice like polished glass, then looks at Molloy. “I was right not to turn you in the ‘70s, feel free to officially admit this at any time.”
“Jesus, he’s gonna be fine, it’s a temporary high!” Jasper groans, throwing his head back, then lifts it again to look at Armand. “It’s already fading, on night one he was so loaded he couldn’t walk straight. Trust me, I know what I’m doing. Not like I was a virgin when I did him. No offence.”
Or: Jasper brings a freshly turned (and high as a kite) Guy to Night Island to ask for Armand's help with the Talamasca; meanwhile, Daniel continues to live in a telenovela...Bookmarked by itempas

Jasper kept Guy pinned to the cold ground in the parking lot, accusing him of things the boy didn't even know. Forcing him to say what he was thinking, when all that came out of his mouth was, "I'm sorry."
“What?” Then Jasper asked, genuinely asked. His face showed confusion with a hint of anger still lingered.
"I'm sorry." Guy said again in a loud whisper.
Jasper felt his dead heart clench, if that was even possible. All the bad feelings he had been experiencing vanished upon hearing those words and seeing his eyes– his beautiful blue eyes, still human and so young. They almost reminded him of himself and all the naiveté of youth. He saw raw, naked truth in the boy's voice and mind. That was exactly what he needed.or

''I don't wanna die.'' - Guy whispered again, voicing all the desperation he could endure, without losing his mind.
The look on Jasper's face changed for a second as if his expression softened without his permission, because the next moment his eyes were back to their terrifying icy blue glare that made Guy's heart skip a beat. His hair was roughly pulled back, exposing the column of his neck for the vampire's sharp fangs. Before he could whimper or even say anything, Guy heard Jasper's voice whisper his own damnation to the skin that hugged his vulnerable jugular veins.
''Don't you think that's exactly what you deserve, boy?'' - Jasper asked, rubbing his nose up and down the boy's skin like he was trying to leave his scent there.
...
''Please...'' - he choked out, unable to explain himself, hoping beyond hope that the vampire would somehow understand.
Bite me... Drink from me, just don't kill me. - he thought to himself and couldn't believe what kind of desires he buried deep inside himself without ever realizing it.

Suddenly, Jasper’s holding up that damn clicker. “Now, do you want the romantic ambient sound effects on – ” He uses the clicker and the revenants spring into action, growling and snarling, throwing themselves against the bars, sticking their arms between them, desperately reaching out towards Guy from both sides of the aisle.
“Or off?” Jasper finishes, using the clicker again.
“On,” Guy spits out. He’s scared and still angry, and harder than he ever remembers being, and in the mood to make some fucking dumb shit decisions.
In which Guy and Jasper blow off some steam in the London Motherhouse basement. Between the cells full of revenant vampires.
