You and Soldier Boy fucking hated each other back in the day. He thought you were a stuck-up, know-it-all, pacifist hippie chick. You thought he was a racist, homophobic asshole who had a nasty penchant for serial cheating. He hated your guts, hated that you hated him. Hated that he couldn’t just fuck it out of you like he usually would with any other prissy bitch because you absolutely refused to show any interest in him.
But sometimes, you’d feel a little bad for him. Crimson Countess let slip that his dad was also a fucking asshole. And you see the way Vought puppets him, how for some reason he doesn't seem to see the strings they’re pulling.
Because of course you’re a goody-two-shoes. Of course you play nice. Because if you don’t, you’d hate to find out what Vought might have in store if a powerful supe like you goes rogue.
Then, one day, he disappears. They tell you he died saving the world, on a mission with his team in Nicaragua. They tell you there’s nothing left of him. Of course you don’t fucking believe them.
