“…Do you believe in souls…?”
Purah asks Link a question, and it takes an extremely long time to get an answer.
If he has any worries about his own soul, or what he thinks happens when people die, he tends to redirect to Zelda, Kapson, or anyone in his vicinity who can handle the topic better than he can, where as he treats it like trying to walk around a cottonmouth viper.
Purah doesn't take that as an answer though, and goes for a second trial attempt at the question. -

It’s been weeks if not longer since Link has sailed off from Hyrule, his experiences and haunts of the previous adventure and battles pressing on his back and shoulders like a redead. And now that he’s truly had the time to focus on himself and not monsters, he’s only more reckless and hungry. He’s glad for the escape from Hyrule, but now the stress of princesses, oracles, and beasts have been swapped for stressing over reason, anger, and fear of wasting his time. He’s sure that he’s supposed to be out here, though. He can feel it. He can hear it. Like someone singing in the wind.
…Does he hear someone singing…?
Everything feels...off, somehow. And Link can't quite explain why. -

Summary
An attempt at writing an eldritch horror twist of Twilight Princess, basically. Will take artistic liberties with interpersonal relationships with the characters, and Link grows as a person. This is just the first chapter out of many. I will write a better summary when it is not three in the morning.

Summary
Hylia's Chosen--Sky, seems to be the default carrier of the Master Sword. "Fi," he calls her. They all have opportunities to wield her in battle, though it's interesting to notice who carries the sword differently. The discussion they all had about the Master Sword, and the duality of it and what wielding it means, over the campfire a while back hadn't left the Champion's mind, put on the back burner until it rears its difficult head again. It gives him a lot to think about, and while all their words were sparse and straightforward (as they all tend to be), they said much more without their words than they ever let on. With conflicting views on this life-changing, but codependent sword of theirs, the Champion picks the brain of their resident tactician.

Summary
Poly Link with Zelda and Sidon.
Wild is away on a long trip with the rest of the chosen heroes, and is becoming homesick, and terribly misses his found family and lovers back home.
He develops a bad habit of taking too long to reply to the letters he gets, and yet internally becomes impatient and insecure (but he never acts on it) when he waits for a letter in return. Eventually, it becomes cyclical when Wild writes to them, asking if they are writing out of obligation, or if they’d like to stop writing to him, to stop worrying about him. That makes Zelda angry, and Sidon angry but also concerned as well, the both of them. Communication is needed but it’s hard when tone is nonexistent on paper, and Wild is afraid of making the situation worse, but it will be worse if he does nothing. So he is stuck, and it hurts, and he just wants to see his family.Basically, the long and difficult journey away from home is taking a toll on Wild, and his partners, and he is not well experienced with handling that with a now long-distance (and time/era hopping) relationship.

“Link? Are you hurt?”
He stared at the corpses as if seeing death for the first time, spellbound by the red tendrils that rose from them like steam. His legs shook; his stomach roiled with sickness; it took him three tries to slide the Master Sword into its scabbard. Zelda drew closer, her brow creased with worry, a faint aura of light still shimmering around her as she reached for his shoulder.
The Gloom recoiled from her touch, and Link flinched back, clutching his arm, digging his nails in again to feel something, anything else. She snatched her hand away as though burned, staring at him through the darkness.
“Link?” she repeated, her voice shrinking down to something small and scared. “Can you answer me?”
