When Rook tried to flirt over coffee, they never expected to end up caught between Lucanis and Spite in a battle of wills. Trying to help them both find peace between one another might have worked better before each one had a piece of Rook...
This started very PWP but I slipped and accidentally found a plot, so... oops? Tags have been updated to reflect darker content so please be sure to read!
Note: This Rook is transmasc nonbinary (he/they), so the story will have references to an afab body that has had top surgery. He is a Dalish Veil Jumper mage. Also using it/they for Spite because spirit.

Summary
Stumbling into the now wrecked storage, it finds Spite standing there, blood scattered across the ground with broken glass flickering in the light. Great. Just what it needed. Another change to the program.
Spite turns around, eyes those once calming, now traumatizing dark color. Some emotion it doesn't have the energy to describe plays across Spite's face as he takes a few steps towards it.
"Rook? House de Riva?"

Old magic sends Rook into a time loop. He's been at it too long. Nothing changes, so why would this round be any different? (Lucanis would like a word.)

Summary
V wakes up to a blinding light. One big light so bright it hurts. Blurred silhouettes gradually bleed in around next, hanging in the corners of his vision. His head is spinning. He is… confused as fuck.
Nothing new there.
Over the last month of his miserable life, V has woken up in many strange places, in various sorry states. The gentle mornings where he awakens in his own bed, or anywhere else nice, have become so few and far between that they’re now the exception to the rule. Small miraculous moments of wonder that need to be cherished.
This time though, this one might be one of the top tier gonk-ass ways to wake up in.
