Summary
The First Talon communicates through four-sentence letters and has said perhaps only forty words to her since the wedding. He is, objectively, a disaster.
Princess Sapphira Fulgeno has handled worse.
This is a story about political marriages, stubborn people, one emotionally articulate demon, and the particular tenacity it takes to love someone who doesn't yet know how to let you.

Summary
Constance de Riva’s self-control hangs by a thread, and Illario Dellamorte knows it.
Sister to Viago de Riva and one of the King of Antiva’s rare bastard children to choose the Crows over exile, Constance harbors a forbidden talent for blood magic that intrigues Illario as much as he vexes her. But when Constance provokes the Antaam into a full attack on the Crows, she finds Illario might be the only person who actually wants her alive.
That is, until she brings his presumed-dead cousin back to Treviso, and soon becomes the thorn in his side...

Summary
She was bought to be a weapon.
She became something far more dangerous.
Alunea remembers fire, chains, and nothing else. Raised by Viago de Riva inside the ruthless world of the Antivan Crows, she survives trials meant to kill, learns poison like language, and earns a new name, Rook.
Lucanis Dellamorte remembers the first time he saw her green eyes.
He tells himself she’s competition.
A copy. A threat.But missions blur lines. Rivalry turns sharp. Glances linger too long. And beneath their deadly precision lies a truth neither Crow was trained to handle:
They care.
While politics tighten around House de Riva and Rook’s buried magic begins to break free, the two assassins must decide whether they are weapons…
or something still human.

Summary
Solara’s curiosity was something nurtured with great care when she lived in Skyhold. Dorian’s lessons, Sera’s schemes, Blackwall’s excursions, Varric’s tales, Cole’s whimsy, Harding’s wanderlust… everyone played a role in what culminated into the young woman standing before the Grey Warden. She held the hurt of a millennia of tormented elves in her bones, the blood of a rebel god in her veins, and an entire Inquisition’s greatest joys and sorrows in her heart.
This is the prequel to my Rook/Lucanis Dragon Age the Veilguard fanfic! The dates have been changed to account for Rook's age, so the timeline looks like this:
- Inquisition: 9:41
- Trespasser: 9:43
- Veilguard: ~9:69-70
Two Rooks and a King is a series co-created by two friends who played Veilguard side by side in a Discord voice chat and thought, "Okay but what if there were TWO Rooks, and they were SISTERS?"
Smut chapters will be marked with an asterisk*, and content warnings will be noted in the beginning notes when needed.

Summary
What happens when House Dellamorte disapproves of the romance between the elven crow Rook (Nifft De Riva) and First Talon, Lucanis? Will it be just post battle jitters making ant hills seem like new mountains to climb or will this be just as dramatic as Bellara's serials? "They put that in stories? In Antiva, that's just a regular afternoon." as Lucanis put it.

Summary
Yet another retelling of Dragon Age: The Veilguard with slight alterations to canon events and a more detailed romance between an Elven Mage Crow Rook and Lucanis Dellamorte.

“Do you control them? The wings?” Her head tilted in question. “No.” He answered almost disappointedly. They both startled when the aforementioned appendages unfurled, stretching languidly above his head before dropping to his sides. “They are beautiful wings, Spite.” She smiled fondly. Lucanis groaned, almost rolling his eyes. “Don’t encourage him.”
~~~~~
“How is your… tea?” He wrinkled his nose. “Sweet, intriguing.” She said, swirling the contents of her cup. She’d ordered a Dalish style brew, with lavender cream and honey. One of her favorites. “Like a first kiss. You should try it.” She mimicked an edited version of his earlier words, glancing at him coyly over the rim of her glass. He arched an eyebrow, raising his own mug in return. “I could be persuaded. If you try mine.” Rook bit her tongue to keep from saying something foolish.
Summary
This is the sequel to More of a Rook than a Crow, which in turn is technically a sequel to Dragon Age the Veilguard. This means major spoilers for Veilguard!
Thedas is saved, which means that Isabella can return to the fold as Lucanis begins his new work as well. However, with a strange letter addressed to her at Villa Dellamorte, she is asked to discuss something that Viago was hoping to sweep under the rug.
The King of Antiva has learned that Rook was a Crow, and Rook has been summoned for an audience with the King. Only, Isabella hasn't gone by that name for several months and very few people knew who Rook really was. Is it a trap, or does the King really just want to extend his personal thanks to her for saving the world?
And when cloaked figures appear to pave the path for those from across the sea, it seems that Isabella might need to get the Veilguard back together to find out exactly what is going on.
Summary
Something is afoot in Antiva. Following the fall of the Evanuris and the annual Dellamorte Satinalia gala, the Merchant Princes have gone silent. News from Antiva City? Quiet as the grave. Suddenly, Merchant Princes and King Fulgeno II’s bastards alike begin turning up dead across Thedas, silver ribbons affixed to their throats. Per volontà del Creatore, l'Unico Re di Antiva regnerà, poiché questo è il Diritto Divino dei Re. By the will of the Maker, the One King of Antiva will rule, for this is the Divine Right of Kings.
But everyone knows that the Crows rule Antiva– so when Eighth Talon Calliope Arainai turns up dead with a familiar silver ribbon adoring her throat, the message, and the threat, is clear.
This is the Divine Right of Kings.
Summary
“From now on, you are a fledgling of House de Riva,” Low and threatening, his words made the young girl’s eyes grow wider. “Under my teachings, I will make you into one of the finest assassins the Crows have ever seen. Your old name does not matter; I don’t care to know what it was because that is no longer who you are. You will be referred to as Fledgling and only when you earn the title of Crow will you earn the respect of a name. If you lag behind in any way, if you become too much of a resource drain, I will kill you with no second thoughts. The Crows do not waste time with failures. Whoever you were before is dead, that life will be forgotten and destroyed in your mind,” The information was definitely overwhelming to the young girl, her eyes fluttering with confusion as the threat laced in the words.
“You are now part of House de Riva and I am your Talon, your master. Do you understand?”
Summary
A restless Shadow Dragon and a wary tortured Crow navigate friendship, love and freedom in the shadowed chaos of Blighted mage-gods. Or how an elven mage Rook and a mage-killer abomination Lucanis figure out what truly matters to them as the world ends.
Filling in the blanks and expanding from canon. A rewrite that diverges from the game after the Minrathous/Treviso choice.
Summary
Before she was the Veilguard’s infamous ‘Rook’ de Riva, she had just been ‘Rookie’—to Viago at least—the name always huffed in a rather annoyed and exasperated tone. It is in his House de Riva that she finds a family; in the Lighthouse that she finds companionship; and in the darkest corner of the pantry, that Rook finds love.
---
Rookie is on a fast-tracked journey to change the world, but she'll do it her way, one Crow at a time—starting with her surly guildmaster. Through every trial, their inexplicable bonds are tested time and time again, and challenges the heart of what it means to be a Crow.
Canon-divergent. Covers both pre-Veilguard events and in-game storylines. Crow-centric, with (un)healthy helpings of Viago de Riva.
"This was your grand plan?" Viago hissed at him as Nyx flew over the cover he was behind and hid next to him. He glanced between an opening of the crates to double check no Antaam saw him before he turned his attention to Viago. Summary
To become a Crow of House de Riva, first you must suffer. To become its Talon, first you must sacrifice.
In 9:35 Dragon, the young Viago de Riva is assigned a small, orphaned elf as an apprentice. By 9:48, they will together command their entire House. By 9:52, they will be Treviso's last line of defence during the Sixth Blight.
(an exploration of training & life under the Crows, Antiva during the Dragon Age, and alternate universe where my Rook, Brynnor de Riva, doesn't become Rook. The rest of the story falls into very different places after that.)
