It’s a complex matter but the heart of it is very simple: Matthew does not hate Gyuvin. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Gyuvin can be incredibly annoying.
Gyuvin is a traditional alpha who values chivalry. Matthew is, in every single way, the exact opposite.

Taerae whispers, loud enough for everyone to hear, “The thing that we want is you, by the way.”
Everyone laughs. Matthew doesn’t. 원해요, pronounced wonhaeyo. In English, to want; verb, the desire to possess or do. Do they want to possess him, or do they want to do him? Both options are dizzying, mortifying.
