“Matthew, hey– look at me.” Hao gently takes his face in his hands. “You don’t know what’s gonna happen and I don’t know either, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s that you guys are meant to be by each other’s side. Nothing's gonna change that.”
And it’s those words that do it for him. Because even though he might’ve believed that before Boys Planet, he doesn’t now, and to hear this from Zhang Hao makes it even harder.
And because Matthew is Matthew and can never shut up when he really should, he tries his best to put on a smile and tells him: “If anyone is meant to debut with Hanbin, it’s you, Hyung.”

He never got to finish his sentence, as the stranger turned around at that very moment. Renjun held his breath when he came to face him. The features were so strangely familiar, yet looked a little foreign to him, since he hadn’t seen them in years. Still, he recognised him in an instant.
“Jeno?” He gasped in surprise.
It was a name that he hadn’t heard in a while, but it still felt familiar to his lips, rolling easy off his tongue. He was the last person Renjun expected to meet tonight, in fact, he didn’t think he’d ever see him again.
It was none other than Lee Jeno. His long-time high school crush.
Or: When Renjun agreed to go on a double date with his best friend, he didn't expect to fall in love all over again.

His head snaps around to find the source and into focus comes the frame of a boy his age, dressed in a pair of gray linen pyjamas, black messy hair falling into his eyes, squinting at the bright lights above the control panel.
What in the name of space is Lee Jeno doing in his shuttle?
(Or: Running away isn't really effective when you end up stuck in a space shuttle with one of the problems you're running from.)
