Summary
Buck plays them off as typical run–of–the–mill sex dreams. He tells himself he doesn’t even know who it is he’s dreaming of, that it doesn’t matter. It’s just a fantasy.
It’s normal to accidentally fantasize about other people, he thinks. It’s not like Buck is doing this on purpose. He’s not being unfaithful to his boyfriend. They’re just thoughts he has. It doesn’t mean anything more.
He has it all under control.
or, Buck finds a video of Tommy and Eddie sparring on his boyfriend's phone and kind of loses his mind over it.

Summary
It’s not like Buck needs anyone to tell him what his issues are. They might as well be written on his forehead in bright red marker. He’s not ignoring it or anything; Buck just doesn’t see the point in re-litigating them every time he feels like this, every time he feels like a dog that got sent back to the pound. It’s not like he doesn’t have his friends and family, and Tommy is sleeping right next to him, but there’s a hole in Buck’s chest he’s had since he was born and he still doesn’t know how to fill it.
When the 118 is closed for reconstruction after an earthquake, Buck is a floater for different stations around the city. He tries not to let it get to him. Much.

Summary
“You’re protective of Buck. That’s natural, even if you know he can take care of himself. And especially considering how much you care about him,” Frank observes. “But it’s also clear you’re not just upset as a friend—you’re upset because you have deeper feelings for him. And watching him in a relationship where he doesn’t seem entirely happy... it’s bound to be hard for you.”
Eddie presses his lips together. “Yeah, and that’s the problem. I shouldn’t feel this way. It shouldn’t be this hard to see my best friend with someone else.”
“But it is,” Frank says gently, a small, knowing smile playing on his lips. “Because you love him.”With Christopher still in Texas and Buck preoccupied with his new relationship, Eddie has a lot of time for therapy, exploring, and pining hopelessly over his best friend— all while trying not to strangle said best friend's boyfriend in the process.

Summary
“This is Buck,” Bobby said when Buck’s tongue refused to unstick from the top of his mouth. “Your new quartermaster.”
Eddie’s eyes— brown with just a glint of green if you caught them in the right light— widened before he scanned Buck with another sweeping assessment.
“You’re—”
Buck had heard it all before. “Not all of us nerds are the skinny kids that used to get picked on in high school.”

Summary
“Asked me if I was the Chinese food delivery guy on my first day.” Chim contributed in a whisper, like he was afraid Buck might wake up and hear. Maybe he felt disloyal admitting it now. It was no secret to anyone paying attention how much Chim loved Buck, even if he often pretended to be exasperated with him.
Hen nodded solemnly. “One of the many people who wouldn’t even acknowledge me when I started.”
It was news to Eddie, and apparently Ravi too, but not Cap, who resolutely stared down at the table in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, so he fucking sucks.” Ravi contributed casually, never one to pull punches with his thoughts.
No one responded, but the agreement was in the air.
