Reader is Peter Parker's best friend, longest friend, earliest friend, all of the above. However she is not Peter's girlfriend. The honour belongs to MJ. That doesn't mean that Reader doesn't have a massive crush on Peter.
When Peter-Two and Peter-Three arrive, it's revealed that Reader looks identical to their girlfriends. The women they loved. However her counterparts died in their arms.
This makes the two new Peters highly protective of her. They won't let her die again.
It also messes with her head, because is it possible to feel attracted to three different versions of the same man? Does it count as a love triangle if they are all the same person, but from different dimensions?

Summary
After his multiversal trip, Peter Parker is back in his New York; fighting crime and kicking ass as he knows how, but as it happens, the arachnid hero gets injured in battle, which puts him in a difficult situation after he accidentally ruined a woman’s life and now he needs to find a way to fix this, because that’s what heroes are supposed to do, save lives not hurt nor ruin them. The thing is that Spider-Man finds himself way too involved in redeeming his mistake that he can’t seem to find a way out from the guilt and the new unbidden feelings.
