Summary
Krypto likes to take care of Kon as much as Kon likes to take care of Krypto. When Kon is hungry, Krypto fetches him food. When Kon is sleepy, Krypto fetches him blankets. And when Kon is horny, Krypto fetches him Tim. Which leaves Kon the not-so-fun job of awkwardly explaining to Red Robin why he's been dragged to Smallville in the middle of the night by a well-meaning superdog.

Summary
Kon had a good life. A great life, actually, considering where it had started (a test tube in a lab funded by a supervillain, which was admittedly not hard to beat but still). He went to high school, he lived with his dad (Superman!) and his mom (badass reporter Lois Lane!) and his annoying but adorable younger brother, he spent every other weekend at his grandparents farm in Kansas, and he was also a well respected member of the Teen Titans. Yes, anyone who took a look at his life would say it was a good one. Full of family, friends, fun, privilege, and not to mention superpowers. From an objective standpoint, his life was complete.
So why could he never shake the feeling that something was missing?

Kon whistles at his first glimpse into Tim’s living room, grinning with teeth when Tim reflexively rolls his eyes. “Sweet digs, dude,” he singsongs. “Love what you’ve done to the place.”
“I said,” Tim hisses, even as he slides the balcony door open to let Kon inside, “what are you doing here—”
Kon shrugs, peeling his jacket off. If I left it up to you, buddy, he doesn’t say, I’d see you once in a blue moon. “Couldn’t sleep. Gotta say, the empty Gatorade bottles really give this place personality.”
“Like you’re one to talk. I’ve seen your room,” Tim snipes back. “And I actually need the electrolytes. What’s your excuse?”

“What did he do to you?” It’s the only thing Jason can think to ask.
“Sionis?” Tim looks surprised—but so politely surprised, so neutrally surprised, that he’s almost not surprised at all. “He kidnapped me, then he tortured me, then he taught me to run a criminal empire. And then I killed him.”
Jason hears the words without really processing them. Tim’s delivery is so flat that it makes the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
Something’s wrong here, every part of Jason’s brain is telling him.
