If Shane was honest, he had not seen much of the movie at all. He kept getting distracted, looking at Ilya instead. It was stupid, really, but lately, he had been noticing the little things.
The way that the freckles on his back seem to make perfect constellations on his shoulders. Shane noticed the reflection of the colors on the screen in the set of his curls. The grin that slipped onto his lips so easily at any of the witty and dumb lines being said by actors who were seriously underpaid for the things they needed to do.
Shane and Ilya have spent the last seventeen years of their lives together, from daycare, all the way to senior year.
With life threatening to pull them in different directions, Shane needs to be brave.
