    "Knuckles, why did you start yell- oh."
    "Goat Milker! What are you doing here?!"
    The voices, loud and animated, grate against his suddenly pounding head. Based on the tone and the style of speaking, he would have two children and an adult, but instead... The man feels his lips part in a mixture of surprise and shock when he comes face to face with three - beings - which are hard to categorize. They are only humanoid in form; about chest height, and covered in such brightly colored fur that spots dance in front of his tired eyes.

     

    Something clicks in the man's addled mind; shock and the sense of surreality forgotten entirely when something shifts through his mess of thoughts to the forefront.
    "You...mean me." He gestures vaguely at himself; at this empty vessel he has become. Only that now, it is filling with something - hope. He repeats the gesture with more firmness when he only earns confused looks, tapping at his chest while he demands, no, pleads, "You know me?"

    AU where the flushing of the Crab leads to Stone losing his memories, and forming an unlikely friendship with the Wachowskis are staying at the same hospital.
