Summary
After the harrowing battle with Female Titan, there was a shift; a shift which brought Levi Ackerman and Mikasa Ackerman on a journey that they never expected. Duty of a Captain and a Cadet amidst the terror of Titans was all that mattered, however no matter how strong the guard of Levi was or how precious the tender loyalty to a childhood love was for Mikasa...things changed!
Was love a possibility for both of them or duty superseded everything and everyone?

“You’re an asshole,” Mikasa grits out between clenched teeth.
Levi exhales, like relief. At least she’s not painting him as something he’s not.
Then he brushes her dark strands of hair off her face. That darkness that started it all.
“And you’re beautiful,” he tells her instead. Because that’s what she is to him, among many other things.
A woman like her, he thinks, should be built like her name— mysterious, sharp, capable of drawing blood.

A change of location and the dwindling titan threat allows Mikasa a chance to think of something other then survival, but with Eren pushing her further away, her frustrations mount. Armin's whispered suggestion on a remedy for her problem lead her to Captain Levi, and she finds more then she knew she needed in his company.

Summary
